What happens on the site today
This plain-language policy describes current practices for bestplacestotravelwithkids.com. It is not legal advice and will be reviewed with counsel before any monetization, analytics, or email collection goes live.

Saved guides stay in your browser
The shortlist and bookmarks use your browser’s local storage. That list remains on your device and is not sent to us.

Forms are not connected
The newsletter and contact forms are not connected to a service, so they do not store or transmit submissions. You can contact us by email.

Basic hosting logs may exist
The hosting provider may record request details such as IP address, browser, page requested, and timestamp for security and reliability.
There are no site accounts or logins, and the site does not currently collect personal information in an application database. Standard host logs are used for service security and reliability, not to build visitor profiles. To reach us now, email [email protected].
Services we may add later
Analytics and email are planned, but they are not active on this site today.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console are planned to measure aggregate site traffic and search performance.
- Email: a Beehiiv newsletter is planned. If activated, it would store an email address submitted by a visitor to send new-guide updates and provide an unsubscribe option.
Before either service goes live, this policy will be updated with the specific information each service collects, retention details, applicable legal basis, and ways to opt out. Until then, neither service is active.
Children’s privacy
TravelWithKids publishes family-travel research for parents and other adults planning trips. The site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information after a form or service is activated, contact us at [email protected] so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Your rights and requests
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or California Consumer Privacy Act may give you rights to request access to or deletion of personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. TravelWithKids does not sell or share personal information. Because the site currently keeps no personal data in an application database, there is generally nothing to access or delete there today; you can still send a request to [email protected].
Advertising and affiliate links
TravelWithKids may be supported by affiliate links or sponsored content. How those relationships are labelled and kept separate from editorial choices is explained in our editorial policy. This policy will be updated with any advertising or affiliate-network data practices before those services are added.
Questions or policy changes
For a question about privacy, email [email protected]. Material policy changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
